ARE YOU READY TO learn how to save life and limb in remote and challenging situations when you are far from help?
can you be resourceful and stay calm when the worst is happening?
after these two days learning from experts Steve & lottie blethyn, the answer will be: yes!
This Beyond First Aid course is designed to train for situations where a casualty needs help over a prolonged period, often when access to emergency services may be limited, delayed or even non-existent.
It is for those who are involved in the outdoor and activity-based environments, including overseas, that require a first aid qualification such as:
Expedition Leaders
Outdoor instructors e.g. hill walking, kayaking, rock climbing, etc
Duke of Edinburgh Award Leaders and Assessors
Mountain/Walking leaders
Two types of tickets are available; one including accommodation on site and the other is for those bringing their own tent, or staying off site. Both include:
A place on the 16 hour course including all course materials and certification starting at 9am on Monday the 4th August and ending 5pm on Tuesday 5th August.
4 healthy meals, from Monday lunch to Tuesday lunch
Unlimited coffee/tea station (with biccies!)
The best way to learn these skills is by doing. You will be out in the fields practicing on dummies and learning how to stabilise your patient and evacuate in the middle of the forest using only what your can find - this, and much more will be covered during this 16hr course. What you’ll take away:
The confidence and knowledge to treat a wide variety of conditions and injuries in remote and challenging environments. There’ll also be a digital certificate for you to keep which is valid for 3 years.
