We offer a calm, peaceful site for wedding weekends that feel like the holiday you never thought you needed together with all your favourite people. Our site covers 15 acres and offers a large barn for a unique event that your guests will never forget.

Big Sky has a variety of sleeping options for the happy couple and the entire wedding party, from bring-your-own-tents to converted buses, Landpods and even rooms in the house for those who need a bit more homely comforts. 

Our wedding packages include exclusive hire of our 15 acre site, overnight accommodation, a barn for festivities, woodland hammocks and sofas which love to be pulled out onto the grass.

Weekend Wedding Package

Festival-style wedding, exclusive hire of Big Sky for two nights and a wedding of up to 75 people includes the following:

You'll be hiring Big Sky as a more-or-less blank canvas and are welcome to dress the place up as you like. 

  • Time to set up on the day before and clear-up the day after

  • All glamping accommodation on site (available at time of booking - see list below for 2025 accommodation) for use and overnight stays   

  • 15 acres of meadow and woodland for walks, pictures and ceremonies

  • The Barn: Bar, dance area, room for dining, games, comfy seating

  • PA equipment inc. speakers and microphone

  • Coordination of pre-event deliveries and supplier or caterer movements around site

  • Use of electric buggy for guests with mobility needs

  • Candles (outside), solar powered lighting, lanterns and festoons in the ceremony and barn area

  • Communal campfire: The communal campfire by the barn with firewood included for the weekend, including management of the fire

  • Small meadow (between YesBus and barn) available as optional marquee space (hire of marquee is extra)

  • Camping and campervan meadows for guest camping

  • All toilets included, inc. hire of portaloos if the number of existing loos on site isn't sufficient

  • Dave and Emms always on hand to make sure things run smoothly behind-the-scenes and to answer questions, help out, provide ladders, light fires etc. 

Exclusive weekend hire for 2025 is £5,250.

Day 1: Arrival (from 9am) for set-up crew, then 2pm arrival for guests

Day 2: The day is yours!

Day 3: Guests depart by noon, then clear-up team until 5pm

  • Extra day before or after a weekend wedding - £1150 per 24hrs (including all of the above)

  • Weekend hire from mid July through to end of August is an extra £1000

  • As our site is always evolving and improving, our prices currently increase by £250 each year to cover inflation and additional facilities

Your wedding should be as unique as you both are, and although all of our options and add-ons aren't listed here, please do let us know if you'd like to do something special. We love creativity and never leave good ideas at the bottom of a G&T glass.

If a weekend wedding is too long (or short) we can offer morning or day-long events, or add-on extra days either side of a weekend - just ask if your ideal package isn't covered here.

Morning wedding

The site is yours from 8am to noon - £1750

Day-long hire

8am to 7pm  - £3000

Extra day before/after a weekend wedding - £1150 / 24hrs

August Hire - £1000 additional fee for any event all/part in August

Add-ons

  • Wedding planning service to work closely with you and do the legwork! Emms will research and source local sustainable suppliers such as entertainment, catering, cake, florist, equipment hire, bar, organise and present suitable quotes for you to choose from and coordinate suppliers on the day - £500

  • Additional accommodation nights leading up the event for the couple - £ is accommodation dependent

  • Extra accommodation, inc. two rooms in house (£100 for big room (double + single) and £50 for small room, one double bed

  • Catering: we have several local suppliers and food trucks who cover a variety of cuisines and can cater for all different dietary requirements and meal-types - price will include any power requirements requested by the caterers. We'll happily introduce you.

  • Optional cold breakfast buffet inc a mix of pastries, yoghurts, porridge, hot berries, coffee, tea, juices and fruits. This should be pre-ordered by the organiser as one booking, so we know numbers ahead of time. Breakfast will be available during a pre-organised time.

  • AV equipment inc projector and sound - £100 for weekend

  • Silent disco headsets (55 of them) for £100 for the weekend

  • Film & photography: We can do ground or air photography and film in-house or have other great photographers who are super at weddings. Please ask for prices and recommendations 

  • In-house celebrant service - £400-£600 depending on arrangement

  • Table and chair hire - please enquire, numbers dependent

  • A variety of wedding decor (hessian bunting, white table cloths, hessian table runners, signage, cupcake stand, glass bottles, kilner jars, light up gin bottles, artificial flowers, donut wall, photo booth, lawn games etc available on request)

If we'd like to have our wedding with you, how does payment work?

To reserve your dates we require a non-refundable 25% deposit within 14 days of you receiving an invoice from us. The full balance is to be paid 16 weeks before your event.

How late can we party?

Our bar license cuts off at 11pm but after that the silent disco headsets can roll into the night. Bar opening can be extended with an extra event license (£50).

Do we run our own bar, or can you do that for us?

Our prices are based on us stocking and running the bar in the barn. If you have preferred drinks just let us know and we’ll make sure we’re stocked up!

Pre-Event Site Viewing

We recommend you visit Big Sky before committing to a site hire and once you’ve hired the site, one additional is possible during our opening months (1 April to end September each year).

There is a very good chance we'll have extended our​ accommodation range by the time your event comes around. Our prices are based on current options, but we'll let you know about additional options and prices when and if they become available.

PAYMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS (INC. CANCELLATION)

If the last two years have taught us anything, it’s that anything can happen! We’ll always be fair but at the same time have a small business to look after. These are our terms.

Upon booking we require a non-refundable deposit of 35% of your reservation fee (40% for any events in June, July or August), upon receipt of this deposit we'll reserve your dates on our calendar, ensuring you have full exclusivity. We have a limited amount of dates each year for events which are key to our survival as a little business. Any cancelled events leave us with less time to fill those dates again, and we use the deposit to plan and develop our site to ensure your event is as successful as possible. This is why the deposit is non refundable.

The balance should be paid no later than one month out from the event. If you pay the full amount up front but then have to cancel, for cancellations more than a month out from your event we will refund the balance, minus the deposit. Any cancellations within a month of the event will not be reimbursed as it leaves us little time to re-sell the site and we can’t afford to have our site empty for a weekend.

From our side, we run our own events too, and always see putting a deposit down as a commitment towards making the event a reality. It's also great to make that first step as a real show of faith for your event. As soon as you show us that commitment we will always be on hand to answer any questions and do our bit to make sure your event goes smoothly. All we really want is for you to have the best time so you'll come back again :)

In the case of individuals cancelling their places on your event this is the organiser's responsibility. If you’re selling tickets via a booking platform it’s worth checking the platform’s cancellation/ refund policy and letting guests know ahead of booking if a full 100% refund won’t be possible.

Moving dates

In the event that you’d like to move the date of your event, there may be a fee for this. The closer to your event that the change occurs, the larger the fee. This is for the same reason as our cancellation terms above - to avoid us being penalised for being unable to take bookings on a now unused weekend.

Any events moved to a following year will automatically incur a £250 fee, as we raise our events fees by this amount each year to cover inflation and site improvements

  • Over 8 months from your event - no date-change fee

  • Between 4 and 8 months from your event - £200 date-change fee

  • Between 2 and 4 months from your event - £400 date-change fee

  • Between 1 and 2 months from your event - £500 date-change fee

  • Within one month of your event - £750 date-change fee

Damages

We don't take a pre-event retainer to cover damages, but we do this in the spirit of our place and will ask event organisers to fairly cover the costs of repairing any damages caused by anyone attending the event

Physical Site Visits

You’re welcome to (and we highly recommend) that you visit Big Sky before committing to hiring the site. After that, we can always accommodate one further walk around during our opening months (April 1 to end September), unless you decide to come and stay ahead of your event, in which case, you can walk to your heart’s content!

Do we run our own bar, or can you do that for us?
